Resolve “underlying task reported failure” Error

The Files system that are installed in Mac operating system like HFS wrapper, HFS+, HFS are known to be sensitive and prone to corruption. Some possible reasons for corruption are virus infection, improper system shutdown, read or write corruption etc.The file system corruption makes the system unbootable that results in the inaccessibility of data that are saved in hard drive.

For instance while working in the word document suddenly the screen freezes and then everything becomes inaccessible. After this an improper system shut down is performed and then it is started again. After this a blue screen appears and then the boot process stops at Apple logo. Here after using the disk utility following error appears:

“checking HFS plus volume, checking extents overflow file, and checking catalog file.”
After selecting ‘repair’ option, you come across another error message:
“Error: the underlying task reported failure on exit.”
On selecting ‘repair’ option again, then error appears:
“repairing disk failed with error. Could not unmount disk”

So to resolve this it is recommended to use system inbuilt utility which is known as “FSCK”. This utility has been found successful in many cases but sometimes it may fails when the damage is severe. In this situation it is said to have updated backup and with that user can easily restore the lost data again in the specified location. But if backup is not available then go for third party software known as Mac Hard drive recovery software to restore the deleted data.

This software has been especially designed to restore deleted data and for this it perform advanced scanning of hard drive with powerful algorithm. It has easy user interface thus can easily be used to resolve underlying task reported failure. And then restores the deleted data or make data accessible again.
