Why my external hard drive nor recognizing and making static sound? ?
I wanted to copy some of the files of the external hard drive to the internal hard drive. For that I right click on the Start Explore button and navigate to J: drive. But in J: drive the files are not showing then I right click and go to properties where I found that the part of space was used which indicate that the J: drive has still some files. It tried some manual afford but I didn’t get success. After some time I unplugged the external hard drive and it disappeared from my computer. When I plugged the external hard drive back then I found that the drive was not recognized and J: drive not appeared under hard disk drive. After restarting the computer and plugging again the problem continues and a new problem added that the external hard drive now making static sound whenever I plug the external drive. Is there some way which helps me in the recovery of file from the drive and gets my computer to recognize it? Please help me. Thanks in advance.
Ok, according to your details it seems that your external hard drive not working and making static sound which indicates that it\'s very likely to dead. It might be your hard drive may corrupt or damaged so that it is not recognized by the PC. You can also check your external hard drive after connecting with other PC. But in the most of the cases it is found that the external hard drive corrupts. I have also faced this situation with my Western digital hard drive that was not being recognized on my Laptop computer. I thought that my data will be lost but thanks to Mac data Recovery software which helps me in the recovery of the external hard drive data. After using this hard drive data recovery tool I get all the data that was saved in the corrupt external drive. After recovery of data you can format the external hard drive the static sound problem will be solved. So I also suggest you to use this and get your lost file and solve the hard disk recognizing problem.
