Is there any way to salvage data lost due to hard drive corruption in Mac OS X? ?
I am using 17” MacBook Pro 2006 model running Snow Leopard. A year ago I have upgraded the RAM to 4GB and internal hard drive to 500GB. But there are some occasions where the Screensaver locks up and to get rid of it I have to switch off the power of MacBook by holding down the power button for few seconds due to which I have lost my hard drive partition. Since Mac OS X is bit sucky about the mount points, so I have saved the entire 500GB as a single volume. I treated this issue as minor issues as the time machine backups reformat and restore works are relatively quick and worked for me. But on my recent trip not only the volume gets corrupted; the machine itself is not recognizing the hard drive. There are many critical data\'s resides in the hard drive which I really want back. I don\'t know what to do, I goggled my issue but got unsatisfactory results. So, please help me to recover my data from hard drive corruption in Mac OS X . Waiting for your valuable suggestion, thanks in advance.
